A clenched fist results in added tension; an open hand results in relaxation.
You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.
James 1:19 (NLT)
When someone says something we do not like, right or wrong, our fists often close tight. But clenching our fists does nothing to solve the issue; it only adds more tension.
It is much better to, in the words of scripture, let the Lord do the repaying for wrongs committed against us (Romans 12:19).
